Maybe. If you are in a cycle of conflict it is difficult to communicate and it’s difficult to be communicated with. When conflict is present, many times emotions are so out of range for all parties, and having someone listen to both sides to help each side articulate their experiences is a helpful way to feel heard and understood. It takes the charge out of the altercation to have someone help you both navigate the process of rebuilding connection.

I don’t just sit and nod my head- I will collaborate with you to figure out what really makes sense for you. I don’t have a checklist to hand you to do this and tell you it’s all going to be better once you complete the checklist. I sit with you and we work together to find resolution for your symptoms. I am a Christian and my faith leads me in all aspects of my life, but especially when I am given the opportunity to sit with Image Bearers and hear their stories.
